I’ve developed a successful social media strategy on NEPA Blogs (a blog which I am a co-contributor on) and revived it from a slump. We are adding new content and engaging our audience every week through the blog itself, Twitter, Google Plus, our Facebook Group and Page, and Pinterest. We average around 200 page views per day and 6,000 page views per month.
I collaborated with three other local women to bring Northeast Pennsylvania a blogging and social media conference, NEPA BlogCon, the first of its type in the area. The mission of the conference was to educate Northeast PA about the social media and blogging tools at their disposal while giving back to the community. I’m happy to report that we had an extremely successful first year. We were able to donate over $2500 to charity; we had 100+ registered attendees, and were able to donate whatever food was left over from the day to a local men’s homeless shelter.
This school year (2012-13), I was drafted by the Ross Elementary PTO to be their Website Coordinator. I have been actively working with the PTO president to get their website and social media more accessible and user friendly.
