Normally by this time each year, most of my annual flowers are dying off.  Not this year though.  I think the warm September and October combined with all of the rain we have had caused them to thrive.  Just look at my impatiens in my wooden barrel below, they are still very doing very well. 

I usually will plant mums once the summer flowers die off, but I can't bring myself to do it this year.  This flower is too beautiful to kill off. 

A word about impatiens….They are the only annual flowers that I don't totally hate.  I often joke that they are the only flowers that grow for me because they are "impatiens" and I am impatient.  I am, therefore they grow.
