In addition to the downtime message I initially posted earlier this week…my hosting company (Dreamhost) posted some addtional downtime for this week. It look as if I’ll have some downtime on Tuesday as well. Terrific.
Today Gabrielle turned 38 months old, and Owen turned 18 months old. I guess Gabby had to break out "Ye Olde Big Book of Toddler Excuses" to celebrate this special occasion. I submit for your amusement an exchange I had with my daughter this morning after she woke up.
Me: *open Gabby’s bedroom door and a WALL of stink hits me in the face, nearly knocking me unconscious*
Me: "PU Gabby. You stink. Did you poop your pants?"
Gabby: "No. Owen pooped my pants."
And thus it starts….She’s already blaming her brother for stuff he didn’t do.
I’m suddenly getting a flashback to when Russell and I were growing up. I remember saying to him "Bite me right here *pointing to my arm*, bite me Russell." Then after he bit me and I yelled "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! RUSSELL BIT ME!" *Cue Russell getting yelled at*
Lord help me.
So far this morning at my house it has done the following:
- Freezing Rain
There is about a half inch layer of sleety-slushy wet crap covering everything. I just went outside and scraped the sidewalk (I wouldn’t even classify it as shoveling) and put down a layer of Qik Joe. I really doubt its going to help. I live on a road with a lot of elderly foot traffic, so you sort of half to keep the sidewalk clean otherwise someone may sue your ass. Oh well, at least I tried. I was going to get some pictures of the mess, but its POURING currently and I was afraid to take either camera outside. In addition, I tried to get pictures from the porches, but the batteries in both digital cameras we have are DOA. They are currently charging.
I hate batteries. Every device that requires batteries in my house is dead. My cell phone is dead, my laptop battery is about to die, both cameras batteries are dead, my Nintendo DS battery is dead. I swear there is some sort of electromagnetic forcefield surrounding my house that makes all batteries in this house die twice as fast as normal. I wish there was a way to recharge a battery without actually having to recharge it. It takes too long. I’m too impatient to wait for batteries to charge. They just need to automagically be charged up again as soon as they die. Maybe I could invent this technology and become a zillionaire.
Don’t I wish.
